Miller & Martin Leases 36,000 SF at Crocker Partners' Regions Plaza

Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA. –One of the Southeast’s most venerable law firms, Miller & Martin PLLC (http://www.millermartin.com/), is solidifying its long-term commitment to the Atlanta market, making Crocker Partners’ (http://www.crockerpartners.com) Regions Plaza (formerly Atlantic Center Plaza) its new Atlanta regional home. The 146-year-old law firm has signed a 12-year lease for the 21st floor and half of the 20^th, comprising 36,000 square feet in the 24-story tower, the parties announced today.

Miller & Martin has built a strong presence since entering the Atlanta market in 1998, and is recognized as one of Atlanta’s top 50 law firms by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and as one of Atlanta’s Top Workplaces by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Luke Curtis, one of the founding partners of Miller & Martin’s Atlanta office, handled the lease negotiations.  Curtis explained that the move, anticipated in May of next year, will position the firm to operate more efficiently, while also allowing for planned future growth. “Since we opened in Atlanta 15 years ago, there have been many changes in the practice of law and the use of technology that impact office space needs. Our new planned space will give us an improved workspace for our attorneys and staff and allow us to better serve our clients. ”

Chris Eachus, partner, who heads Crocker Partners Atlanta Region, said, “A long-term commitment by a firm of Miller & Martin’s stature is a good reflection of Regions Plaza’s continued appeal.” The draw of a prime location and availability of large contiguous space is being boosted by building upgrades and new amenities, including Flywheel, a premier indoor stadium cycling studio, which is expected to open in January 2014, Eachus noted.

The 500,000-square-foot Regions Plaza tower, with Regions Financial Corp. as its signature tenant, is located in the heart of Atlanta’s Midtown market, well positioned to attract both relocating and expanding companies. It has some of the largest contiguous blocks of Class A space available in the market and is located within a designated Opportunity Zone, which provides significant tax incentives to existing and new tenants for each job they create. Stream Realty Partners L.P. is the leasing agent for Regions Plaza.

Eachus said Crocker Partners plans for continued growth in Atlanta, where the company owns more than 2 million square feet, including Prominence, an 18-story, 432,737-square-foot tower in the Buckhead submarket, and Cumberland Center II, with 413,247 square feet.
