All data is also stored locally at each register.  Because each register has it’s own copy of the database, there is no single point of failure.  If any registers are offline when the changes are made, the information will automatically sync when the register re-connects to the internet.  SpotSync Checkout can be easily configured to only affect stores that have similar information in case a franchise location has separate pricing or inventory information.
