International experimental film "Overturn: Awakening of the Warrior" premieres on BitTorrent Bundles

LOS ANGELES - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- An experimental feature film "Overturn: Awakening of the Warrior" has been released online on BitTorrent Bundles. John Deryl, director, executive producer and leading actor has decided to use Bundles, an innovative peer-to-peer platform for creators, because it perfectly fits the nature and spirit of the film. Mr. Deryl has said, "Overturn cannot be categorized. It is not a sci-fi, action or mystery film in their classic definitions, even though it contains elements from all of them. This experimental essence of the project makes its festival destiny next to impossible. Festivals are very conservative when they choose films. Everything that doesn't fit, even if it's something unique and has progressive ideas, stays outside. BitTorrent Bundles, on the other hand, is an ideal place for innovation."

"Overturn: Awakening of the Warrior" is a co-production between the USA and Ukraine. It was filmed in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. Eric Ross Gilliatt and Mary Mellow act as producers. They also play the roles of the Judge, a wise and omniscient character, and Maria, a female lead, respectively. The cast of the film features actors from six countries including the USA, Australia, the UK, Ukraine, Iran and Nigeria making it an international movie. According to the creators, an international cast helps convey a global meaning of the film, whose main character Christopher has to uncover his spiritual abilities in order to counter the forces of evil. They are concentrated around the Servant, a mysterious character played by Ukrainian actor Konstantin Gerasimuk. Mr. Gerasimuk speaks no English, but he had trained to say his lines before the filming and was not dubbed.
