Wine and Design Celebrates Newest Huntington Location with Grand Opening on October 12th

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- HUNTINGTON, WV – October 4, 2013 – Wine and Design Huntington will be introducing itself to the downtown area with a Grand Opening scheduled for Saturday, October 12^th from 6:00-9:00pm.  The event will be held at the wine and painting party’s studio located at 948 4^th Avenue in Downtown Huntington.

Wine and Design is a popular business that began in Raleigh, NC in April 2010.  The studio offers clients an easy and fun approach to painting and provides participants all they need for a fun night out:  canvas, apron, paints, paintbrushes, and corkscrew.  Attendees provide a beverage of his or her choosing and sit down for a two-hour painting session led by a local artist.  Wine and Design owner and Huntington native, Jaime Napier-Vartanian, says that she’s glad to be back home and looking forward to introducing the downtown area to the wine and painting party concept.

“The first thing I tell people who haven’t painted before is to relax,” said Napier-Vartanian.  “No previous painting experience is needed.  Our wonderful artists will take you step-by-step in completing one of our featured paintings.  At the end of two hours, you’ll leave saying, ‘I can’t believe I painted this!’”

Napier-Vartanian has a background in management and finance and readily admits that she is in “no way an artist”, but the lure of owning a franchise in her hometown was too tempting to pass up.

“My husband and I had very demanding corporate jobs in Michigan,” said Napier-Vartanian.  “We have a nine-year-old son and both of us wanted to be closer to family and for the three of us to spend more quality time together. When I did a search on ‘paint and sip franchises’ and discovered Wine and Design, I knew this would give us the quality of life we were looking for, as well as give Downtown Huntington a place to be creative and have fun.”

Wine and Design Huntington is planning to mirror the format of its parent studio by offering date nights, paint your house and paint your pet nights, and booking private parties.  The studio also plans to be very active within the community by hosting fundraisers and will offer patrons the convenience of hosting painting parties off-site with its “Wine and Design on Wheels” program.  Children will also receive a creative outlet through its ART Buzz program—classes specially designed for younger artists.  Napier-Vartanian said that she will be adding several regional paintings that celebrate the area including paintings of Gaski Memorial Bridge, Ritter Park, New River Gorge Bridge, and the Blue Ridge Mountains, as well as several sports-themed paintings celebrating Marshall University and West Virginia University.
