Follow on Google News | ScottMadden to Present at the 2013 Electric Generation Landscape ConferenceBy: ScottMadden, Inc. Stuart Pearman, partner and energy practice leader at ScottMadden, will moderate the panel “Current Issues in Fuel Diversity.” This discussion will wrestle with fuel diversity in the light of abundant cheap shale gas. The distinguished panel will be: Michelle Bloodworth, senior director of power generation at America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA); Cris Eugster, executive vice president and chief generation and strategy officer at CPS Energy; and Michael McInnes, senior vice president of production at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association. “If you want to add generation, how can you not build gas? On the other hand, if everyone builds gas at once, will that lead to an optimal generation portfolio? Our panelist will examine all sides of this dilemma,” said Mr. Pearman. Additionally, Todd Williams, partner and fossil practice co-leader at ScottMadden, will serve as the moderator for the panel, “The Demand Picture.” This session will focus on the current picture of electric demand and predictions for the future. The panelists will consist of: Val Jensen, senior vice president of customer operations at ComEd; Steve Murray, president of residential at Direct Energy; and Steve Pullins, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Green Energy Corp. “I’m excited to hear the perspectives of three industry thought leaders on the demand picture. Their varied backgrounds and points of view ensure that the conversation will be provocative,” ScottMadden will also sponsor the conference luncheon on October 10.
