Mosaic Artist Callandra Smith’s Art to Be Featured

DALLAS - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX - Dallas artist Callandra Smith’s mosaic wall art entitled “Pure Radiance” will be auctioned this month at 7:00pm,  October 11, 2013  during the 5th Annual Geometric Gala & 10th Anniversary Celebration benefitting the Museum of Geometric and MADI Art in Uptown Dallas.

Callandra Smith is an innately skilled mosaicist known for her fresh color choices and soft yet distinct designs. Her work includes both sizeable wall art as well as handcrafted home décor pieces.

“I am very exited to be a part of such a special event honoring such a special organization that supports the art community,” Smith said when asked how she felt about her art being featured at the museum gala’s silent auction.

Mosaic art is an age-old art-form dating back to 1500 B.C.  Callandra Smith has successfully modernized this artistic practice by adding her own individualized touch to each piece she produces.
