Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Two awesome matchups start the NHL season this year on October 1. The Stanley Cup Champions Chicago Blackhawks host the Washington Capitals and  the Montreal Canadiens  battle the  Toronto Maple Leafs. At 8PM eastern the Winnipeg Jets invade the Edmonton Oilers.

The following day, October 2nd also has 3 great games. The Anaheim Ducks travel to play the Colorado Avalanche, the Philadelphia Flyers host the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres travel to Detroit to battle the Sabres.


On Thursday the Boston Bruins travel to play the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Minnesota Wild host the Los Angeles Kings, the Nashville Predators play the Saint Louis Blues, the Washington Capitals host the Calgary Flames, the New York Rangers travel to Phoenix to play the Coyotes, the Boston Bruins play the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Pittsburgh Penguins host the New Jersey Devils, the San Jose Sharks host the Vancouver Canucks and the Florida Panthers travel to play the Dallas Stars.
