East Cooper Medical Center Breaks Ground on Growing Campus

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- With the help of Mayor Billy Swails and the Town Council, East Cooper Medical Center broke ground last Tuesday morning on their new medical office building (MOB).  The ceremony marked the beginning of construction of the hospital’s new 42,000 square foot office building that will be located at 851 Leonard Fulghum Boulevard, adjacent to East Cooper Medical Center.

With a completion date in late spring of 2014, the new East Cooper Medical Center Medical Office Building will include physician practices with a focus on women’s services and orthopedic services as well as outpatient physical therapy and laboratory services.

“Our hospital has been committed to the community since we opened our first facility in 1986,” said East Cooper Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer, Jason Alexander.  “We built our new hospital in 2010 to accommodate our growing community and services.  As we continue to broaden the scope of services offered at East Cooper Medical Center and become a more regional provider of healthcare, we are furthering the expansion of our campus with this Medical Office Building.”
