ANAHEIM, Calif. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- September 30, 2013- Anaheim, CA- QGITS TV recently attended TEDx Orange Coast 2013 conference where inspiring leaders, innovators, artists, educators, scientist, students and visionary entrepreneurs were brought together at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, Ca for this year’s theme “Beautiful Minds.” At the event Anil Pattni from QGITS TV met with speaker Lisa Kristine (http://www.lisakristine.com/) acclaimed humanitarian photographer who was there to speak on social causes such as modern day human slavery while encouraging the beauty, diversity and hardship of our inter-locking world that connects us all.  Her powerful and awakening images were exhibited at TEDx as we had the chance to hear her story up close and personal as she walked us through each image displayed and learned about her work in collaboration with NGO Free the Slaves (https://www.freetheslaves.net/).

Lisa Kristine will be honored October 27, 2013 in New York with the Humanitarian Award at the 11th Annual Lucie Awards. She has impacted the photographic community for over two decades with her stunning documentation of indigenous cultures throughout the world. The 11th Annual Lucie Awards will be for the first time held at Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall.  Each year, the Lucie Awards recognize master photographers who have made a significant and lasting contribution to photography.  www.lucies.org
