Sustainable Cooking & Eating to Take Center Stage in Wellesley

On October 16, Metrowest residents will learn easy ways to cook and eat sustainably

WELLESLEY, Mass. - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Healthy Habits Kitchen (www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy, today announced a special event on October 16, 2013. In partnership with Boston’s the Chef’s Collaborative (www.chefscollabortive.org), a national non-profit of chefs, they will be hosting a dinner and workshop, Easy Ways to Cook & Eat Sustainably.

Designed to help busy individuals and families cook and eat sustainably, attendees will learn what sustainable eating means and easy, practical ways to make it a part of their healthy lifestyle. The event will also explore simple and delicious ways to use edible plants, local meats and dairy.

Easy Ways to Cook & Eat Sustainably will be hosted by Melissa Kogut, Executive Director of the Chefs Collaborative and co-author of the new Chefs Collaborative Cookbook. Under Melissa’s leadership, the Chefs Collaborative has grown to over 12,000 chefs, food professionals, food producers, food writers and food activists. Her many accolades include facilitating the Chefs Collaborative’s participation in a panel for the  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and being the recipient of the Abigail Adams Award from the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus, which recognizes and honors outstanding women leaders.
