Creating a Place Where You Can Enjoy Life

PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- All are invited to Club Time to Play’s™ grand opening / ribbon cutting / open house on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm.

Founded by Doreen Guma, everything at Club Time to Play™ has been especially chosen to remind you to enjoy life.  “The Time to Play philosophy is that you have to be happy, healthy, have money and a work life balance to enjoy life, and we have items and club activities that will provide enjoyment and lots of smiles for people of all ages,” said Doreen.

Many different club activities will be offered and the full schedule will be released at the open house on October 15.  Some activities will be just plain fun like making crafts or learning how to play gin rummy, and some will be educational and potentially life changing, but always enjoyable.  For example, acting lessons will be one of the activities offered. “Who hasn’t secretly wanted to act?” said Doreen.  “Not only will acting lessons be offered to help those who currently perform, but also will be offered to help improve presentation skills which can help enrollees advance at their job.  Laurie Ann Davis, our club counselor for the acting courses, has found acting to be a powerful tool for growth in self-esteem and self-empowerment of those she has taught,” noted Doreen.

Ever wanted to learn how to do be a comedian, how to play guitar, or how to paint? These are examples of the programs that will be available.  “We’ll also be offering support groups, peer support groups, and life and business coaching programs, all with a goal for club members to have fun and to enjoy life,” said Doreen.

Each month a special rewards and recognition ceremony will be offered as well as special exhibits including art and photo exhibits, poetry readings, and general friendship-building get-togethers.  “This club is going to be one you’ll definitely want to be a part of!” noted Doreen.
