AV Madness Student Video Contest Announced

Technology Center of the Piedmont Triad launches its inaugural AV Madness student video contest for grades 5–12 in select North Carolina counties.

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- “What should be the next big thing in technology?” is the question students are challenged to answer during the Technology Center of the Piedmont Triad’s inaugural AV Madness Student Video Contest running Sept. 23 through Oct. 13.

The contest is part of the Technology Center’s celebration of InfoComm International's AV Week which occurs worldwide each year in October to unite, share and promote the AV industry with the world.

Students in grades 5–12 in the Guilford, Davidson, Alamance, Forsyth, Surry and Stokes counties of North Carolina are eligible to compete for a grand prize which includes a $50 gift card, a pizza party, and Technology Center T-shirts. Students may enter individually, as a team, or as a class.

To enter, students are to upload or post a link of an original a short-form video to the TechnologyCenter of the Piedmont Triad’s facebook page at www.facebook.com/TechnologyCenterofthePiedmontTriad. The video should be 15 to 30 seconds long and answer the question, “What should be the next big thing in technology?” Students are encouraged to ask their friends and family to “like,” “share,” and comment on their entries. The video with the most engagement wins.

Students also have a chance to nominate their favorite technology teacher for a chance to win a $100 gift card. Nominations are to be emailed to info@thetechnolgycenteronline.net.
