2013 CEO National Conference Speaker: Interview with nuphoriq CEO Erin Walter

CHICAGO - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- When it comes to niches in the marketing industry, nuphoriq has found there’s in catering and special events.  Nuphoriq is a full service marketing agency based just outside of Chicago that services clients across the nation.  The company was started by Tasty Catering employees Erin Walter, Jamie Pritscher, and Tim Walter.

Entrepreneurship is in the Walter family blood.  Erin and Tim’s father Tom Walter and his brothers founded Tasty Catering, which has invested in their employees by launching multiple companies over the past several decades, including nuphoriq.  Although Erin knew she wanted to be in business, she didn’t know if she wanted to own her own business.  She did learn important lessons at a young age that helped her transition into becoming an entrepreneur including to always ask for help, a focus on education, and emphasis placed on getting an education.

Nuphoriq started with an idea that Erin came up with around 6 years ago while working in the Tasty Catering marketing department.  Clients of Tasty Catering would often ask for help with logos, brochures, and other marketing needs.  Clients trusted the Tasty Catering brand, which opened the door for many other opportunities for growth and for new companies.  Co-founder Jamie Pritscher was an entrepreneur who worked closely with Erin and joined forces to work on nuphoriq, and the pair hasn’t looked back since.

Erin and Jamie will be speaking to students and young entrepreneurs at the 2013 CEO National Conference (http://www.cvent.com/events/2013-national-ceo-conference/...) in Chicago, which will be held October 31 – November 2.  They will be speaking about picking a partner based on their experiences as co-founders, how to run an organization with limited resources, and what it takes to make a partnership successful in a startup company.

At the top of the list for traits founders should share is ‘values.’  Erin shared that she and Jamie both want the same things for the company and believe in the same things, which is a significant benefit.  Many startups fail when the founders have differences in their goals, values, and opinions on the direction of the company.

The founders’ cohesiveness has been an asset to nuphoriq, and sure to continue to benefit them in the future.
