New chair for Paralympian helps wedding day bliss

BRIDGEND, Wales - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Welsh born paralympic athlete Nathan Stephens thanks Invacare for helping his wedding day go without a hitch as the company supplied a brand new wheelchair.   Nathan recently married fiancée Charlene Beard in a stunning ceremony at the Celtic Manor Hotel, Newport and he was especially pleased to have the stunning Kuschall K-series  to make the day extra special.

“I have recently got married, so I wanted a chair that would look and feel the part to make the day extra special, and when I contacted Invacare with my request,  they were more than happy to help.” Commented Nathan.

Invacare representatives met with Nathan and carried out an assessment of his requirements which not only included a chair but additional Vicair cushion and Matrx back support. There were several fittings to ensure the chair fitted perfectly, and it was during a fitting session that Invacare’s Rehab Specialist identified that Nathan was not sitting correctly due to his disability, which could potentially cause back problems later in life.

“This is something that I have never been told about during any other chair fitting that I have had in my 16 years of using a chair. This type of service and expertise you can not buy over a counter.”

Nathan has been selected for the GB Team to compete in the IPC ice sedge hockey Tournament to be held in Torino, Italy in October. He also competes in athletics and has previously broken the world record in Javelin.
