LIVEOUTLOUD Supercar Day 2013 - In Celebration of Aston Martin Centenary

MIDRAND, South Africa - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Powered by LG, this exciting annual motoring extravaganza will be held for the 5th successive year at the iconic Kyalami Race Track in Johannesburg and will see over 300 supercars thrilling the crowds, celebrities and VIPs. Ranging from vintage classics to the latest ultra-sleek and modern supercars, expect to see revered marques such as Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren jostling for superiority on the track, or merely pulling the crowds to admire their sultry lines, sought after pedigrees and jaw-dropping price tags.

With 2013 marking the centenary year of legendary British motoring icon, Aston Martin – one of the picturesque highlights will include a static track display of 100 Aston Martins with a stunt plane scripting ‘100’ via a smoke trail to honor this outstanding milestone. “This will be the largest assembly of Aston Martin’s on the African continent, creating a truly significant moment for the brand”, says enthusiastic LIVEOUTLOUD CEO, Mike Eilertsen.

The LIVEOUTLOUD signature challenge will feature the vehicle that records the fastest lap time of the day against a Jet Bell Ranger helicopter from Ultimate Heli in one lap of fury for the sought-after title of ‘The Most Powerful Machine’. Drone choppers circulating the track will also feed live footage to the giant LG HD monitors throughout the day, offering unsurpassed coverage. Expect queues at the state of the art F1 simulator which will offer a firsthand experience of what it feels like to be an actual F1 racer.

Adding additional glamour and style to the day will be the 2013 Young Designer Awards finals, where South Africa’s most talented young designers will challenge each other in high-end fashion stakes for the ultimate prize and recognition.

Two wheel enthusiasts will also be catered for by a number of choreographed Moto X stunt jumpers performing a series of gravity defying stunts. Ducati super bikes have also been drafted in, daring guests to experience a G-fest onboard the unique Ducati 2-seater as they actually contest these super bikes piloted by an experienced racer.

The acoustically fuelled, adrenaline pumping activities will culminate in a challenge for glory where four celebrities will compete for bragging rights as SA’s fastest celebrity on the track.
