Alamo Area Council’s 2013 Boy Scout Popcorn Season kicks off with Continued Support from Graebel San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO - Sept. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- The Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council kicked off their annual Trail’s End Popcorn Fall fundraiser with continued support from Graebel San Antonio Movers, Inc for the tenth consecutive year.  Graebel San Antonio provided the central staging point for the distribution of more than 134,357 pounds of popcorn on Saturday, September 21st to over 1000 volunteers assisting the Council with the fundraiser.

“Graebel’s motto is ‘Helping People Move Ahead Worldwide’, and they sure made this real easy for us and our Scouts.  The Alamo Area Council and all our Scouting community are grateful for Dan Dailey and Graebel’s support,” says Michael de los Santos, Scout Executive for the Alamo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, based in San Antonio, Texas.

Be on the lookout for Scouts selling popcorn in front of various local businesses and in your neighborhood through Saturday, October 26, 2013.  Scouts will have traditional favorites such as the Classic Caramel Corn priced at $10.00 and new additions like the tasty Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese that sells for $15.00.  Seventy percent of the funds raised from the Popcorn Fall fundraiser go to support Scouting programs council-wide.

“Ten years ago, Graebel saw a need to support Scouts and we filled it.  Graebel has a long history of supporting the community, especially when it benefits young people,” said Dan Dailey, General Manager for Graebel San Antonio Movers, Inc. “We are glad to help, and look forward to helping the Alamo Area Council bring Scouting to more youth.”
