Vistage Michigan Selects Plymouth Technology President Amanda Christides for Soaring Eagle Award

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. - Sept. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Vistage Michigan selected Plymouth Technology President Amanda Christides as the recipient of its 2013 Soaring Eagle Award.  The Soaring Eagle Award is presented annually and recognizes one member’s overall success in business.  It also acknowledges contributions to fellow members.

The membership-based organization, which helps business leaders make better decisions and generate better results, honored Christides during its annual CEO Summit on Fri., Sept. 20 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn.

Since taking over as president of the Rochester Hills-based provider of industrial water and wastewater treatment chemicals, equipment and consulting services in 2005, Christides has more than tripled the company’s revenue.  This increase also has enabled her to expand its staff from eight to 26.  She also pioneered efforts in the development, patent and commercialization of Metals Removal System™, which helps manufacturers achieve performance gains in wastewater treatment operations.

In 2013, Plymouth Technology has been honored among Michigan Companies to Watch.  It also was awarded the Distinguished Leadership Award for Small Business Achievement at the 17th Annual Women and Leadership in the Workplace Conference.

An example of Christides’ selflessness is her dedication to developing young talent.  In 2007, she launched an internship program at Plymouth Technology that hires 18-24 interns annually for its chemical and research, human resources and sales and marketing departments.  More impressive is the fact that 99 percent of its interns who seek permanent employment find it within 90 days of completing their internships at Plymouth Technology.
