Sept. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Since being launched back in May Ever After High has grown rapidly in the United States, Canada and the UK. Interestingly Mattel opted for a simultaneous launch across the globe – usually they opt to launch new franchises in one market initially – but this simultaneous launch has proved to be extremely successful and may in fact be the template that Mattel follows in future.

The concept of the franchise is that it’s a spin-off of the popular Monster High dolls, characters with famous monster parents such as Dracula and Frankenstein. You can see these Monster High dolls at http://www.monsterhighdolls.net.

Ever After High is a clever twist on Monster High, with the characters the sons and daughters of famous fairytale characters. For example, Apple White is Snow White’s daughter and Briar Beauty is Sleeping Beauty’s daughter. The concept is proving a big hit with parents in particular as the Monster High franchise, whilst hugely popular with kids, was considered a little controversial by some parents. Ever After High could almost be considered the ‘kid-friendly’ version, as a Sleeping Beauty related doll is perhaps more suitable for younger kids than a Dracula one.

The new independent site showcasing these dolls is called EverAfterDolls.net, seen at http://www.everafterdolls.net. It showcases all the dolls – currently four characters have been released, with Raven Queen and Madeline Hatter the two other characters to add to Apple White and Briar Beauty. There’s also an in-depth section profiling the characters and a section to view every online episode since the franchise was launched. So far there have been ten online episodes, allowing fans of the franchise to follow the goings-on at Ever After High, the high school where all the characters spend their time.

With Ever After High books, DVDs and clothes in the pipeline along with famous actors such as Lindsay Ames voicing one of the characters in the online episodes, it looks like Mattel could be onto another winner with Ever After High. The official site from Mattel can be seen at http://www.everafterhigh.com.
