Chrysler Canada is Celebrating Best Sales Numbers in 25 Years

Sept. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Thanks to the continued success of local Dodge dealerships such as Jackson Dodge in Medicine Hat (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/cities/dodge-dealers-medicine-hat/), Chrysler Canada is pleased to announce that a total of 21,932 vehicles were sold last month. This is a 7 percent increase over August of last year, which saw 20,569 units sold. These numbers mark Chrysler Canada’s biggest August sales numbers since 2000, and the best year-to-date sales since 1988.

Passenger car sales experienced a 16 percent increase this past August with 3,699 total vehicles sold versus 3,202 units moved in August 2012. The three passenger vehicles that saw record August sales include the Dodge Dart, Doge Journey, and the Dodge Avenger.

The 2013 Dodge Dart (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/models/2013-dodge-dart/) was recently given a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and had a 68 percent sales increase in August 2013. This past month, the Dodge Dart sold 710 vehicles compared to the 423 vehicles that were sold in August of last year. The Dodge Avenger also set an impressive August sales record with 642 Avengers sold last month versus the 353 that were sold in August 2012. This marked an 82 percent increase over last August.

The Dodge Journey (http://www.jacksondodge.ca/new-inventory/journey/#min_yea...) continues to be the number-one selling crossover in the country with best-in-class storage and choice performance options. Last month, approximately 2,551 Dodge Journey vehicles were sold, which represents a 6 percent increase in sales over August of last year.

The 2013 Chrysler Town & Country set an all-time sales record this past August with 1,388 vans sold. August of 2012 saw only 176 Chrysler Town & Country vehicles sold, which means there was a very significant 689 percent increase in total August sales.
