STRATFORD-UPON-AVON, U.K. - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- As the nights grow longer and Horribly Hideous Halloween approaches, the Tudor World Halloween Festival in Stratford-upon-Avon is busy organising even more ghoulish going-ons for this spine-chillingly spooky time of year.

An award winning museum that has won numerous awards including the prestigious Godiva Award and Chiltern Railways Attraction of the Year, Tudor World will have activities over a two-week period for every generation of visitor at the historic building in Sheep Street from 19th October until the 2nd November.

The younger members of the family will enjoy celebrating a Horrible Halloween with lots of Tricks and Treats, Crime and Punishment shows (included in entry price); quizzes, prizes and family-friendly ghost tours. Kids in Museums recently gave the museum the thumbs up!

These are not the only remarkably revolting events that will be taking place, as in the evening the grown-ups can look forward to grim reaper ghost tours in the dark by lantern light, haunted town tours and grisly ghost hunts in this world famous haunted building, reputed to be “the most haunted in England” according to Horrible Histories children’s author Terry Deary.

As well as books, the museum also regularly appears on TV, most notably on the show Most Haunted Live, which famous medium Derek Acorah called “one of the most frightening experiences” of his career. More recently the museum has feature on American TV with UK-Haunted to a reputed 100 million households.

Owners Janet and John Ford said "The annual Halloween Festival was founded a decade ago and has become one of the ‘most do’ events at Halloween. The Tudors had a strong belief in the existence of the paranormal, including William Shakespeare himself who used the recurring themes of ghosts in his plays! Our annual Halloween Festival, set within the atmospheric historic Tudor building, is going to be even scarier than before with a host of events for all the family. The festival is not to be missed, unless you think you might be too scared of course!”

Tudor World is open every day throughout the festival from 10:30am – 5:30pm. Tickets cost £5.50 for adults, £4.50 for concessions & students, £3.00 for those under 16 and £12.50 for a family (2 adults & up to 3 children). The Halloween shows are on selected dates and included in the entry price. The family friendly ghost tours are on Saturdays at 5.30pm with Mr G Buster @ £13 for two adults and two children or £5 per adult and £3 per child. The Grim Reaper Ghost Tours are on Saturday 25th and Thursday 31st October at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, 9pm @ £7.50 per person and the other days from 6pm on. A ghost tour of Horrifically Haunted Stratford takes place at 7.30pm on the 26th and 31st @ £9.50 per person with the naughty Dashing Jack (£15 for both ghost tours). William Shakespeare tours of Stratford run Monday to Thursday at 2pm every day @ £4.50 for adults, £3.50 concession and £2 for children.
