NEW YORK - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Date: 09/10/2013

(New York, N.Y.) Unlike most kids her age, one young actress/model is making the rounds and enjoying instant celebrity status at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring 2014. Àngelinah-Gabrielle Dantzler, or as she is quickly becoming known in the entertainment world, “Àngelinah-Gabrielle” hit the ground running at the September 5th launch of Fashion Week and has yet to slow down.

Àngelinah-Gabrielle and her manager, mother Lisah “L.A.” Dantzler were invited to Fashion Week at the behest of TV Producer and Correspondent of MNJ Consulting Corporation, Madinah N. James. Ms. James took an interest in the teen after learning how she was discovered in Los Angeles back in May by Acting Coach, Betty Bridges, mother of actor Todd Bridges of Different Strokes fame. Bridges also suggested modeling in addition to acting for the teen. “After being approached about it for a few years now, L.A. Dantzler recently decided to allow Àngelinah-Gabrielle to model, I felt New York Fashion Week would be the perfect time to introduce the ingénue to the fashion world to see how they would respond,” said Ms. James. “The response was overwhelmingly positive!” she continues.

Betty Bridges helped shape the highly successful careers of actresses Nia Long, Regina King, and Sanaa Lathan. When Ms. Bridges met Àngelinah-Gabrielle, she took an instant liking to the 6’2”, 16-year-old, who turns 17 on September 11th saying, “She can have an incredible future in the entertainment industry.” Gaging by the Big Apple response to the young actress/model, Bridges definitely hasn’t lost her knack for recognizing talent.

Àngelinah-Gabrielle is trying to take in all the incredible moments. She is experiencing everything from being chauffeured around New York and hanging out backstage with world-renowned designer Kati Stern after attending Stern’s Venexiana show as a guest, to being advised by Miss J. Alexander  past cast member for America’s Next Top Model, to never change her natural hair!

One of the most poignant moments was caught on tape between stunning 82- year-old modeling legend Carmen Dell’Orefice and Àngelinah-Gabrielle where the legend gives the newcomer advice about how to have longevity in the business, and wishes her luck. Dell’Orefice had her first Vogue cover at age 15, and is still traveling the world and gracing covers to this day.

Despite being instantly accepted as “one of their own” by fashion industry celebs and insiders at every level, L.A. Dantzler is keenly aware that in a world where celebrity, especially “instant celebrity” can destroy as easily as it can uplift, maintaining a sense of normalcy is paramount to Àngelinah-Gabrielle’s emotional well-being. While her curriculum does include studying past episodes of America’s Next Top Model, voice lessons, and acting classes, just like any other 16-year-old, Àngelinah-Gabrielle, who has been home-schooled since 2nd grade, is required to still do chores and algebra too!
