Concluding they have the wrong woman, and while her mind is still in a vulnerable drugged state, her kidnappers resort to hypnotic suggestion to get her to comply with their demands.

Caught up in The Triad Conspiracy, Linda is informed that the kidnappers have her son.  To gain his freedom, she must pretend to be Evelyn Werner, the kidnapper's original target, who is one of the architects of a new defense satellite, and steal information sought by a foreign power. Forced to match wits with real-life spies in the dangerous world of espionage, Linda must deal with killers determined to acquire this critical information for freeing her son, and at the same time come out of this entangled plot alive.
