So what is value proposition? A value proposition is a promise of value to be delivered. It’s the primary reason a company should want you.

A lot has been written of late about having an effective value proposition. Most sales leaders – and quite a few marketing people – will readily tell you that having a clear, effective value proposition is crucial to job success. So, what is a value proposition and where does it fit in the process?

Avant Garde Ideals CEO announced during the meeting that having developed two other successful businesses in Newcastle and Southampton that value proposition does indeed deliver results. A reality in today is that many young people are encountering companies who have been downsizing, right-sizing or told to do more with less. The result is that there are fewer job opportunities being offered. After the public sector job losses and with high youth unemployment, the UK labour market is still very fragile.  A recent study among UK business leaders by CareerBuilder.co.uk (http://www.careerbuilder.co.uk/) showed more cautious hiring trends across all industries. While the majority of UK employers (73 per cent) described their organisation's financial performance as steady or growing in the survey, 28 per cent reported it is declining or uncertain. Thirty-nine per cent of UK employers plan to add new employees with a mix of full-time, part-time, contract or temporary workers and interns. One-in-five (20 per cent) plan to add full-time, permanent staff. "Employers are hiring again, albeit at a guarded pace," said Tony Roy, President of CareerBuilder EMEA (http://www.careerbuilder.eu/). " Their survey and job posting activity on CareerBuilder.co.uk point to gradual, moderate improvements in the UK job market. There are more jobs being added across a variety of industries, but it will still be a highly competitive job market.

According to the job board the Sales industry is on the top functional areas employers are recruiting for new talent.
