Follow on Google News | Santa Claus to Appear in RogersvilleThis upcoming Heritage Days Festival in Rogersville, TN will have a most unusual guest this year. Santa Claus will be at the festival selling his Christmas novels, putting people in the mood for this upcoming holiday season.
Joe Moore as he is more officially known, has written and published two novels in the trilogy with the third to be released this coming January. He not only writes about Santa Claus and the North Pole, but is the spitting image of the Jolly Old Elf. He spends the last two months of the year portraying Santa all over East Tennessee in his custom made suits. Moore released the second in the trilogy, which was actually the prequel to his successful Faith, Hope & Reindeer, entitled Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles. Moore describes the books as such: Believe Again, The North Pole Chronicles begins the trilogy by showing how the elves and the North Pole came into being. It actually takes place from the late 18th century and proceeds through the generations and centuries until modern time. It shows how the elves chose Santa Claus and how the various legends came to exist. Faith, Hope & Reindeer is a present day snapshot of a week in the North Pole where several families that are struggling to do good have lost their faith and hope from the problems of their lives. They receive an all-expense paid vacation but they don't know their final destination. They end up in the North Pole where Santa and the village restore their faith and hope and they learn that miracles still exist. This book is currently being made into a major motion picture scheduled for Christmas, 2015 release. According to Moore the third book, Glaciers Melt & Mountains Smoke will “turn everything you know about Santa Claus and the North Pole on its ear.” The North Pole is melting and is in danger of disappearing into the Arctic Ocean. Santa must save the village and its occupants and find a new home. But where will the new North Pole Village end up? Moore will be selling and autographing his works, and says they make the perfect holiday present as they will put the meanest Scrooge into a joyful Christmas spirit. Moore is one of the authors inducted into the Authors Guild of Tennessee and said that he will be appearing with his fellow authors from the Guild while at the show. He said, "Not only will my works be available, but several other authors will also be displaying their works including children's stories, Sci-Fi novels, mysteries and more." Moore said he will be easy to locate, “just look for a lot of red.” More about Joe Moore and his books can be found at http://thenorthpolepress.com. End
