FCA to Raise Cowboy Classic Finals Awareness in Red Deer September 26

RED DEER, Alberta—G.W. Smith Elementary School will host an assembly during the afternoon of Thursday September 26 featuring the Foothills Cowboy Association’s: Pat Dillman, Brook Robertson, Joel Waddel, Branden Dillman, Connor Faucher, Trevor Jones and Kyle Rock.

The cowboys will give a brief history of rodeo and the Foothills Cowboy Association (FCA) to raise awareness for the upcoming FCA Cowboy Classic Finals. The assembly will feature Bull Jangles; stick horse barrel racing; roping dummies and a coloring contest.

Each child will receive a free ticket to Saturday's afternoon rodeo performance along with several other prizes.

On the evening of Thursday September 26 the Foothills Cowboy Association will host their FCA Cowboy Classic Finals stock draw at Billy Bobs, live entertainment to follow. The doors will open for the draw at 6pm and the live pre rodeo entertainment will begin at 8pm.

Billy Bobs has been a sponsor of the FCA for over 20 years.

The 2013 Foothills Cowboy Association Cowboy Classic Finals will be held October 11-13 in Stockman's Pavillion at Westerner Park in Red Deer, AB. Tickets are $15 for adults, children 10 and under are free. They are available for purchase at Jones Boys Saddlery and Western Wear, WEI’s Western Wear and the Sheraton Hotel in Red Deer.
