Sept. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Popular writer of preteen and teen books, Kathleen Fearing has been added to the growing stable of authors of the Authors Guild of Tennessee.

Fearing published four books for children ranging in age groups from eight to young adult. Several of her stories for young children were published in an on-line magazine for children. As a radio broadcaster for many years Fearing produced several award-winning children’s radio programs, and reviewed children’s books for radio and newspapers.

Fearing received the Writer’s Digest award for her story “The Night the Winds Came and Mama Sang Her Magic Song”. This story, along with several others, will be included in her upcoming book “My Story Time”, to be released Fall of this year.

Fearing also published four well received books of poetry for adults, with more expected early in 2014.

The Authors Guild of Tennessee is a group of independent authors who work together to promote the books they have written, and to share their genres with readers of all tastes. The members of AGT sell their books direct to the public at various venues, as well as online through their website and at book signings and other events.

According to AGT, the reading experience is enhanced by getting to know the author personally along with details about the book that are not usually known. The author benefits from feedback with direct email links to stay involved with their readers.

Sci-Fi author and administrator of the guild, Sam Bledsoe said, “We consider our writing to be a collaboration, or shared experience, between writer and reader that makes it more satisfying for both. By making the books of several authors available in one place, the public has a plethora of titles and genres to choose from, in addition they are supporting local writers from our state.”

Ms. Fearing was recently invited to add to the group of eclectic authors that are increasing their public awareness through various combined book signings, fairs, festivals, and libraries in order to introduce their works to a broader public.

Fearing also enjoys assisting other writers in their craft. As a juried member of the Appalachian Arts Craft Center in Norris, she conducts regular writing workshops there for beginning writers. Her weblog can be found at www.kath-kidsbooks.blogspot.com.

Visitors to the Authors Guild of Tennessee website http://authorsguildoftn.org can learn more about each author personally, and view the culmination of their works. Along with offering their published books on Amazon and other book retailers, most are also available through the website, itself.

The Authors Guild of Tennessee will soon be adding a schedule of places where readers can meet the authors personally, and obtain autographed copies of their works.
