-- Kicking off in November, the Southern Ocean County Chamber has partnered with Barnegat Chamber and WJRZ 100.1 FM to promote businesses and events taking place in the historic bay front town.The spotlight will begin November 9 when Unshredded Nostaglia opens their Military Movie and Theater pre- 1930s poster exhibit in time for Veterans Day with a champagne reception from 5pm to 8pm. The month will continue with After hours at With After hours at Body 2 Soul Healing and Henbest Law Office on November 12 Optimist Club Spaghetti Dinner on November 22 at the Barnegat Rec Center, historic downtown carshow Nov 23 and Special Thanksgiving Farmer's Market on November 24 and conclude early December with Garage Door Guy 10th Anniversary Open House.
The Southern Ocean County Chamber serves as a regional chamber of commerce and prides itself with strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders throughout the county. The Chamber will be hosting a Centennial Old Times Luncheon on November 12 which will feature a presentation from Tim Hart, Ocean County Historian and a panel of long time business owners to speak about the challenges and advantages of doing business in our region. This memorable event will be held in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn Manahawkin and is open to the entire business community. Reservations will be required, tickets are $20 and are available by calling 609 494 7211 or stopping into the Southern Ocean County Chamber Visitor Center at 265 W 9th Street in Ship Bottom. The party will continue in January at Tuckerton, March in Lacey and May in Stafford and end with the Centennial Summer celebrations on Long Beach Island.
