Step back in time to small town USA where fall festivals and activities await you!

WAYNESVILLE, Ohio - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- The quaint little Village of Waynesville Ohio is preparing for its busiest tourism season by planning unique festivals to wow and entertain visitors.   Step back in time to small town USA where 60 independent shops and restaurants will charm you into spending a day or two of shopping and fun.

Waynesville will have very unique visitors on Sept. 29th from 3pm-4pm as the Cheetahs of Cincinnati Zoo visit the Wombat Art Works Gallery.  This is a chance to see these magnificent cats outside of the caged environment as they are special guests at the Gallery.  Afterward, visitors are encouraged to dine at the Stone House Tavern Takeover from 4pm-9pm where 10% of the dinner tabs from the Gallery guests will be donated to The Cincinnati Zoo's Angel Fund for Cheetah Conservation.  For more information, call Wombat Art Works at 513-897-7174 or visit wombatartworks.com.

The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival will be held October 12th and 13th.  This is the 44th year for this amazing festival which is the 29th ranked craft festival in the nation by Sunshine Artist Art & Craft Show Magazine   It takes hundreds of volunteers to transform this small town into streets filled with 450+ crafters tents and 30 food booths where many of the foods do indeed contain sauerkraut - over 7 tons of it.  The Sauerkraut festival attracts visitors and vendors from every state across the Nation.  For more information about the Sauerkraut Festival, contact Waynesville Chamber of Commerce at 513-897-8855 or visit sauerkrautfestival.com.

In addition to the Sauerkraut Festival, October offers lots of fun for Ghost Lovers!  Waynesville is reported to be Ohio's most haunted town and there are lots of stories to be heard about unique unexplainable experiences around town.  The Museum at the Friends Home in Waynesville offers Ghost Tours throughout the month of October or you can make a fun night of it by attending a Ghost & Goblet Dinner at the Hammel House Inn followed by a Ghost Tour guided by the Museum docents.  Reservations are required and can be made by calling  the Museum (513-897-1607 - tour only) or The Hammel House (513-897-3779 - dinner & tour).

Each fall, internationally known artist, P. Buckley Moss, visits Waynesville to meet with collectors of her art and help raise funds for charity.
