Music Album Dedicated to Peace to be Launched on Peace Day by Nashville Based Production Company

The I Declare World Peace project applauds CrindelStar’s new album as a reflection of the continuing rise in global peace consciousness.

NEW YORK - Sept. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Nashville based music producer Gigi de Lugo, in honor of the UN International Day of Peace, is releasing Planet CrindelStar’s peace-themed album, VOICES UNITED FOR PEACE, a compilation of international artists and peace activists.

Ms. de Lugo, a native Virgin Islander and award winning music publisher living in Nashville, Tennessee is not only the creative force behind the album, but she also provides a charming narrated story on the album called “CrindelStar”, geared toward children.

Ms. De Lugo, reached at Tropic Heat Studios in Nashville, said that she had been developing the peace album project since 2004. Ms. De Lugo said: “The message of Peace that CrindelStar has been carrying to children around the world since 2004 is even more necessary today than ever before. To me, this album is the ultimate opportunity for us to reach a generation of children, as well as adults, teaching peace through the most universal language of all – music.“

Among the artists contributing to the album are Karin Nagi of the Netherlands, Paco Damas of Spain, the group HIP KITTY of Disney World fame, and Kimicoh Kimoco and The Defending Champions, among others.  Kimico is well known for his peace promotion efforts through the Dutch based foundation World Peace is Possible, a collaborative partner of the I Declare World Peace project.

The sharp creative edge of the album comes not merely from the powerful message of its beautiful songs and story, but also from the interspersed pro-peace messages from around the world. Lawrence R. Gelber, a spokesperson for the I Declare World Peace project in New York City, who contributed one of the messages to the album, can be heard to urge world leaders to embrace peace because peace is “more profitable than war”.

Rita Gelber, president of the I Declare World Peace project told reporters that it was a joy to contribute to a project that “furthers IDWP’s goals of raising global peace consciousness” and urged educators to “buy this album in bulk and distribute it widely to your students, because teaching peace to children now will pay off later in the form of greater commitments to peace when they are adults.”

A portion of proceeds from album sales will benefit three non-profit pro-peace groups: SPMUDA International, Planting Peace, and Stop The Bleeding USVI.
