Sargent Steam Keeping Homes Clean For 20 Years

Sargent Steam was founded in 1993 by Joyce Mathie after a visit to the Utah State Fair where she met a colleague test marketing the first Swiss-made steam cleaners in the country.  She fell in love with the product and at the age of 57, launched a new business, along with her daughter Julie Verrinder, which focused on the art and science of steam cleaning. The company offers products that safely and effectively enhance the cleaning process.

The steam machine is an indoor power washer with a stainless steel tank that holds two quarts of ordinary tap water. When in use, the appliance emits a blast of 300-degree dry steam vapor and 50 pounds of pressure to blast dirt from almost any crack or crevice and sanitize without harsh chemicals.

According to a study by Brigham Young University, a direct blast of steam kills germs in two seconds. Steam is the purest sanitizer and is more effective at killing germs than chemical disinfectants.
