Do you know a childcare provider that’s a hero? We want to hear about it! Authors Chris Stralyn and Kristi Porter are collecting stories of Heroic Childcare Providers to be included in an anthology titled Childcare Heroes.

Whether it’s saving a child’s life, or saving a parent’s sanity by taking 2am phone calls for advice, we want to hear about it. All childcare providers that have gone above and beyond the call of duty are eligible.

So tell us what makes your childcare provider a hero!  If your entry is chosen to be included in the book, both you and the childcare provider you nominated will each receive an autographed copy of Childcare Heroes.

Submission Guidelines:

Tell us your story in 2500 words or less.

Include the full name, location (city/state/country) and contact information (email and telephone number) of both childcare provider and person submitting the entry. This information is for purposes of verifying submission details of finalists. It will not be made public.

All entries must be in either:  .doc  .docx  or .rtf  format

Submit your entry to PLEASE NOTE: copy/paste your entry into the body of the email. Attachments will NOT be opened.

Submissions received before December 31,2013 will be included in the 2014 edition of Childcare Heroes. Submissions received after January 1, 2014 will  be held for the 2015 edition. Entries chosen for inclusion in the 2014 edition will be notified by email no later than February 1, 2014.
