By: WTMD 89.7 Radio For Music people His work features larger than life built-out portraits of iconic musicians that have helped shape the existence of rock music. It is his intention to demonstrate that portraits do not always have to be an image of perfection but can encompass lumps, bumps and assemblage. These faces are dependent on spontaneous highs and lows of the surface and how paint and illusion can create a portrait revealing adjoining flat and dimensional surfaces. With their seemingly asymmetrical faces they give way when viewed from the front to capture a face of music. http://www.BrettStuartWilson.com Educated at Virginia Commonwealth University for his Master's of Fine Art and at the University of Wisconsin @ Madison for a Master's of Art, he is a reciprocate of a National Endowment Grant and has been featured in national Art, Music and Business Magazines. His work is internationally owned in private collections to include the prestigious collection of Sylvio Perlstein (Diamond Merchant) in Paris, France. He was recently included and selected internationally in Michael Corbin's aka ArtBookGuy "106 SUPER HOT ARTISTS FOR 2013" http://artbookguy.com/ Stop by to help us celebrate, And if you would like a Musician's Portrait that will bring the HIP back to your home so you too can entertain with the same bodacious musicians & artwork that your guests will never forget, the artwork will be for sale. 20% of the proceeds will be donated to WTMD 89.7 http://www.wtmd.org Photos: https://www.prlog.org/ https://www.prlog.org/ https://www.prlog.org/ End
