India (September 16, 2013) — Representatives from Educational Testing Service (ETS), creator of the TOEFL® (http://www.ets.org/toefl) and GRE® tests (http://www.ets.org/gre), will participate in the upcoming Institute of International Education (IIE) student fairs that will be held in Hyderabad and Mumbai this weekend.

About the TOEFL and GRE Tests

The TOEFL iBT® test, the most widely accepted academic English-language assessment, is recognized by more than 9,000 institutions in more than 130 countries. The TOEFL iBT test measures an individual’s ability to use and understand English at the university level. The assessment evaluates how well an individual combines the listening, reading, speaking and writing skills needed to perform academic tasks. For more information about the TOEFL test, including free sample test questions and study resources, visit the TOEFL Go Anywhere website available at www.TOEFLGoAnywhere.org.

GRE test scores provide graduate and business schools around the world with an objective and common measure for evaluating and comparing the qualifications of applicants with differing educational and cultural backgrounds. For more than 60 years, GRE scores have been used by admissions and fellowship panels to supplement undergraduate records, including grades and recommendations, and other qualifications for graduate-level study. The GRE revised General Test measures the skills that graduate and business schools value: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking and analytical writing — skills that are not limited to any specific field of study, but are important for all. Used by thousands of graduate and business schools around the world, the test is available at about 700 ETS-authorized test centers in more than 160 countries. For more information, visit www.ets.org/gre.
