Glow in the Night 5k to support Five Points of Hope in Detroit on Sept 27

DETROIT - Sept. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- NR Road Racing Plans Glow in the Night 5k in Detroit

NR Road Racing will hold a Glow in the Night 5k on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 7:30 pm to help support the Five Points of Hope. The event will be held at Kensington Metropark, 2240 W Buno Rd., Detroit, MI 46380; part of the proceeds will be donated to the Five Points of Hope. Race registration is $45 for individuals and $35 for groups of four or more. All ages are welcome, but you must register children six and older.

Before the event our hosts, Five Points of Hope, invite you to bring a picnic basket and enjoy a summer evening in the park before the Glow in the Night 5k. During the event, participants will run, walk and play across the course and enjoy the glow dust along the way. In addition to the run, there will be an after party with more color and music! The goal will be to see how much a person can really be covered in color, as every 10 minutes more color will be thrown into the air. NR Road Racing invites everyone and their family and friends to come out and have a glowing good night while supporting Five Points of Hope Cancer Care Fund.

The Five Points of Hope Cancer care fund was created in memory of Michael McCusker and in honor of Beth (friend & survivor). Since the inception of Five Points of Hope, many more family members and friends have dealt with the diagnosis of cancer. Five Points of Hope is a non-profit organization that allows the community to help others in need by participating in annual event fundraisers recognizing that all the proceeds go directly to the Cancer Care Fund, which allows individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis and having financial difficulties to apply for a grant to assist with their cancer related outstanding bills.
