Illinois Office of Tourism Director Jen Hoelzle Addresses Chicago Southland CVB Annual Meeting September 25th
 
LANSING, Ill. - Sept. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Lansing, Ill. – Illinois Office of Tourism Director Jen Hoelzle will keynote the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau Annual Meeting & Luncheon Wednesday, September 25, 2013 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Chicago Matteson Conference Center, 500 Holiday Plaza Drive in Matteson, Ill.

As Director of the Illinois Office of Tourism, Jen Hoelzle leads the state’s tourism industry marketing and development efforts. Before joining the Office of Tourism in October 2012, Hoelzle served as the director of external engagement for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and in several capacities for the state of Illinois. Hoelzle holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in English from Western Washington University.


“We’re excited to have Jen Hoelzle as the keynote speaker for our Annual Meeting,” said Jim Garrett, President/CEO of the Chicago Southland CVB. “Since starting at the Illinois Office of Tourism, Jen has brought fresh ideas for statewide tourism strategies and pushed for heavy social media engagement which will drive new visitors to the state and to the Chicago Southland.”

President/CEO Garrett will report on the programs and accomplishments of the Chicago Southland CVB during the past fiscal year and how the CVB will Keep Moving Forward in this next fiscal year. The CVB will also announce the winners of its annual CVB Awards and the Chicago Southland Stars of the Industry Awards that recognize outstanding hotel employees.
