PLYMOUTH, U.K. - Sept. 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Kelly’s world-famous swimming pool and Adventure Centre has been running smoothly throughout the busy summer holidays, thanks to a state-of-the-art Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) developed and installed by Tavistock IT company, Camway Computing Ltd.

The system, which Camway purpose-built for Kelly Enterprises, allows all customer, attendee, staff and equipment data to be stored, cross-referenced and processed.  “It’s not just a question of data size” says Camway’s MD, Nigel Cammann, “It’s the nature of inter-relationships between the different categories.”

Kelly Enterprises commissioned Camway at the end of 2012, when they found that due to the combined growth of both their customer levels and the number of courses which they offered, their old software couldn’t cope.

“Our old Excel wasn’t up to the job anymore, and we couldn’t find a commercial package which could handle the complicated relationships.” said Administrator Sheila Buchanan.  “The bespoke database which Camway produced for us is excellent and has worked superbly, even throughout the busy holiday period.”

The pool is used three nights a week and on Saturdays for Adult training and 2 nights a week plus Saturday mornings for children’s lessons.  During school holidays, master classes are held for elite swimmers – indeed, this was the pool where Sharon Davies and Heather Fell trained.  Over eighty Great Britain Senior International swimmers, Olympic Games and European Championship medallists have passed through the pool’s Swim Squad Programme.

As well as the pool’s data, the CRM has to handle and process comprehensive information for Kelly’s Adventure Centre, which is one of the South West’s leading providers of outdoor and adventure training courses.

From swimming to summer schools and pony trekking, the CRM has to mesh a plethora of complex data – who, what, when and where; along with course-progression.  It’s a complete ‘front-to-back’ system, allowing Kelly’s to monitor and control all levels of information, even down to finding a suitably qualified replacement if a member of staff calls in sick.

Kelly’s management can also use the system for targeted marketing.  At the click of a mouse it can search through past customers, calculate the likelihood of their interest in a forthcoming event or course, and select them for contact about it.

Mr Cammann comments:  “The CRM has been in operation without any hitch since January.  I’m delighted that it’s proved its worth and been so successful for Kelly’s Enterprises.”
