Murray & Guari Trial Attorneys Support National Child Passenger Safety Week 2013

West Palm Beach, FL – Murray & Guari Trial Attorneys is proud to support National Child Passenger Safety Week – September 15-21 and National Seat Check Saturday - September 21. Parents and caregivers are urged to verify that their child safety seats are properly installed and correctly used.

During Child Passenger Safety Week many communities will have certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians available to parents and caregivers to provide free, hands-on, car seat education and inspections. The week concludes with National Seat Check Saturday, when certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available at car seat events across the country to offer advice , instruction and inspection of your car seat. Car seats, booster seats and seat belts save lives and offer the best protection for children in crashes.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (http://www.ntsb.gov), each year approximately 1,800 children ages 14 and under are killed as occupants in motor vehicles, and more than 280,000 are injured. Although 96 percent of parents who use child safety seats, booster seats and safety belts to protect their children think they are doing it correctly, check-ups continually show that 4 out of 5 unintentionally make mistakes that could result in their child being injured or killed in a crash.

Making A Difference

Murray & Guari Trial Attorneys provide presentations that include a lecture and a brief video detailing safety seat installation. They also bring examples of commonly used safety seats and show how to properly install and use the child seats. Information is provided to attendees on where they can have their child safety seats inspected.
