ABINGDON, Md. - Sept. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Please join us on Wednesday September 25th from 7-9:30 PM@ WTMD Broadcast Center, Annex (Towson City Center) 1 Olympic Place 410-704-4088. Brett will be present to meet people and discuss his work while guests can mingle and enjoy hors d'oeuvres & wine from Silo Point and beer tastings from Union Craft. And of course there will be music, a custom mix inspired by the legends featured in the exhibit. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available on surrounding streets and in adjacent fee parking decks.

His work features larger than life built-out portraits of iconic musicians that have helped shape the existance of rock music. It is his intention to demonstrate that portraits do not always have to be an image of perfection but can encompass lumps, bumps and assemblage. These faces are dependent on spontaneous highs and lows of the surface and how paint and illusion can create a portrait revealing adjoining flat and dimesional surfaces. With their seemily asymmetrical faces they give way when viewed from the front to capture a face of a maverick musician. http://www.BrettStuartWilson.com
