Annual Love Walk: Walking For Domestic Violence

ATLANTA - Sept. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Heal Her Heart's mission is to provide support, stimulate the healing process and promote healthy relationships.

Since 2007 Heal Her Heart has provided support and advocacy for individuals experiencing domestic violence. We know that violence and abuse can affect anyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, location, or background. Heal Her Heart staff is dedicated to helping individuals and their families heal from the affects of domestic violence. We educate and empower each individual. We are devoted to assisting them with rebuilding their lives and move toward self-sufficiency.

Heal Her Heart brings awareness about domestic violence through public speaking engagements, hosting walks, organizing self defense workshops, and offering confidential counseling with safety planning. There are many methods of manipulation and violence that abusers use against their partners; physical, emotional, monitoring, financial, and spiritual are among that list.

National statistics state that 1 in every 4 women will experience domestic violence at some point in her life. That number is alarming. There are over 6 billion people in the world and approximately half are women.
