Follow on Google News | Pro Bono Website Launched for Los Angeles Arts Education OrganizationLiqui-Site Designs provides new website to contest winner, Virginia Avenue Project
By: Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. The Virginia Avenue Project is an arts education organization serving the greater Los Angeles area. Founded in 1992, it provides free after-school programs using the Arts in conjunction with one-on-one mentoring to help children, ages 6-18, think creatively, critically and confidently about their life goals and choices. Its curriculum includes classes and workshops, year-round academic tutoring and mentoring, and artistic productions. The organization desperately needed a new website to better promote its services to a wider audience, leverage program success (100% of Project youth have graduated from high school and 95% have gone on to college), and motivate visitors to get involved and provide financial contribution. Liqui-Site designed and developed a custom, responsive website at www.virginiaavenueproject.org built on the WordPress content management platform, fully optimized for search engines for increased visibility. The youthful front-end aesthetic embraces the organization’ Custom design and development features include intuitive navigation of content and embedded video, prominent calls-to-action, photo and video galleries, and event integration. The new site centralizes the organization’ Kent Wallace-Meggs, Executive Director of the Virginia Avenue Project said, “Working with Liqui-Site on this project was a privilege, a pleasure and fun. Their ability to bring our vision to life was amazing. Having celebrated our twentieth anniversary in 2012 and spending this year honoring our retiring founder, Leigh Curran, we wanted to freshen our look and the functionality of our website. With our very limited resources, this was a wish we were unlikely to have fulfilled, but now it is.” Now in it’s 4th year, Liqui-Site’s Pro Bono Promo gives back to non-profit organizations across America by recognizing their need for a competitive online presence – to the same degree as any business – if not more so. “We take our work with non-profits very seriously at Liqui-Site. Long before starting our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative this year (whereby each client chooses a charity to which we donate 2% of their project fee), we started the annual Pro Bono Promo. This year, we were thrilled to work with the Virginia Avenue Project in Santa Monica to deliver a complete website in order to help the organization advance its mission. By donating our resources to help fill a critical need, we know we’ve made a difference – and that’s incredibly rewarding for our entire team,” said Kelly Campbell-Dillon, President and CRO of Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. The winner receives a custom website – designed, developed and fully optimized for search engines (SEO) and all tablet and mobile devices. Each site is built for ease of in-house maintenance on a content management system and includes up to fifteen content pages, a Donation form and payment gateway integration, a Contact form, social media integration and more. Promo Bono Promo 2013 officially kicks off on October 7, 2013. For more information, contact Liqui-Site Designs at www.liqui-site.com/ End
