Advantis Credit Union Honored With Corporate Philanthropy Award

PORTLAND, Ore. - Sept. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Advantis Credit Union (http://www.advantiscu.org/) has been named one of Portland’s top corporate philanthropists by the Portland Business Journal (http://www.bizjournals.com/portland) for the fourth consecutive year. The announcement was made today at the Business Journal’s annual corporate philanthropy awards luncheon.

Among the hundreds of companies competing for consideration in this year's awards, Advantis was named a top corporate philanthropist in the small company category, contributing to nearly 50 nonprofit organizations throughout the community in 2012 and serving more than 450 employee volunteer hours. Through its GROW campaign (https://www.advantiscu.org/page.php?page=535), Advantis supports small and moderate-sized nonprofits with grants of up to $10,000 for specific one-time capital expenses. The annual campaign invites members and the public to vote for projects online and help determine which should receive grant funding.Since 2011, Advantis’ GROW fund has contributed $150,000 and assisted 21 nonprofits within the community.
