New York - Integrative Psychiatrists, Richard P. Brown, MD and Patricia L. Gerbarg, MD offer “Breath~Body~Mind for Transformation”, a two-day workshop for therapists and the public September 20-22, Friday evening through Sunday noon, at Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.  The work is a unique fusion of ancient mind-body techniques and scientifically proven methods to enhance mood, vitality, and mental focus, and to rapidly relieve stress anytime, anywhere.

The benefits of the Brown/Gerbarg workshops and research have been enjoyed by health-care practitioners, yoga teachers, individuals with psychiatric and medical conditions, military veterans, and people challenged by everyday stress. Studies prove their methods safely relieve anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder in survivors of mass disasters such as the Asian tsunami, 9/11 World Trade Center, Gulf oil spill, and wars.

The workshop follows the Breathwork Immersion conference at Omega Institute, September 15-20, featuring leading teachers, scientists, and social activists who will explore the scientific, humanistic, and spiritual foundations of the wide spectrum of breathing practices. The conference faculty includes Drs. Brown and Gerbarg as well as Jack Cornfield, PhD; Stanislov Grof, MD; Dan Siegel, MD; Jessica Dibb; Jim Morningstar, PhD; Gay Hendricks, PhD; Rabia Hayek, Jaime Collaco, and Jenna Grayson, CHt, HTP.
