HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- An impressive list of talent has lined up to join the new, semi-dark, indie comedy series by show runner/star Brian Beacock (McCracken Live!, NBC's The Rerun show) which co-stars Jillian Clare (Days of Our Lives, Miss Behave, The Kitchen). Rounding out the slate of series regulars are Chris Galya (Disney's Jessie), Patrika Darbo (Days of Our Lives), Paul Nygro (You Again) and John Yelvington (How Sweet It Is). A partial list of Season One guest stars include soap vets Eric Martsolf (Days of Our Lives) and John J. York (General Hospital), comedienne Cocoa Brown (Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse), Gary and Larry Lane (From Hollywood to Dollywood), Peter Allen Vogt (Valentine's Day, Hanna Montana), Sheila Sheila (Betty White's Off Their Rockers), Mitch Silpa (Bridesmaids) and Christine Lakin (Step by Step, Veronica Mars, Family Guy).

But what's the show about? The production team has taken an innovative approach to that reveal by launching a crowd funding campaign today through the platform Indiegogo. Award winning Producer Susan Bernhardt (Miss Behave) shared “Brian and I wanted to keep the premise and name a mystery so we created a fun video for the Indiegogo page, threw some bleeps and bars in it, then added some subtle clues as well”. She continued “I guarantee if you watch the video to the end and visit the link, plus read through the page, you”ll figure it out and want to donate!”

The team worked long and hard on ideas for campaign donation perks including the “Drop Dead Soap Fan Perk”, something for the ultimate soap fan and the chance to either have lunch with the stars, receive a video shout out, help produce the series, attend the premiere, or even procure what they've titled the “Midnight Shambler Perk”. That might give a hint or two about the new semi-dark comedy? Of course, there are many other fun perks including scripts, DVD's, autographed calendars, digital downloads, social media shout outs, even a car wash plus a few more mysteries to unveil throughout the campaign.

The series is slated to begin production October 12th and will be shooting an eight episode first season.  Creator and writer Brian Beacock added “The show is a combination of all things I love - dry comedies, horror films and "fish out of water" stories. The series will be shot in the style of Arrested Development and Parks and Rec but with a twist, an anachronistic mash-up of eras, with a bizarre look at Hollywood. We're hoping to create our own look and visual personality for a web series that hasn't been done before. Ultimately, as always, I just want my mom to like it.”
