$500,000 Raised At The Brent Shapiro Foundation’s 8th Annual “Summer Spectacular” Gala Event

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Hollywood’s A-List gathered, on Saturday evening, September 7th, 2013 for the 8th Annual Summer Spectacular to benefit the Brent Shapiro Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Awareness, an all-volunteer organization that fights the disease of addiction via educational initiatives and academic scholarship incentives. The evening included a 'mocktail' reception followed by a three-course dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck and a dramatic runway fashion show featuring show-stopping gowns by G Haute Couture.

Held at Mei Sze Chan and Jeff Greene’s 40,000 sq. ft. palatial estate, in the Beverly Hills canyons, donated especially for the evening, the “Summer Spectacular” honored actors Ted Danson for Angel’s At Risk and Harry Hamlin, as well as two college-bound sober students, from the Phoenix House, who received fully-paid scholarships to continue their education.

Television broadcasting personality Pat O’Brien served as Master Of Ceremonies, while actor Robert Davi crooned  Frank Sinatra’s best to stars, studio heads, corporation founders and socially-conscious philanthropists including Russell Simmons, Larry King, Paula Abdul, Lisa Rinna, Berry Gordy, Sheriff Lee Baca,  Sugar Ray Leonard, Adrienne Maloof, Brian Liu (LegalZoom co-founder), Brian Lee (LegalZoom co-founder), Michael King (King World),  Jason Cardiff (Cigirex), Jacob Busch (Anheuser-Busch Family), Rick Yune, Bai Ling, Alexis Bellino (The Real Housewives of Orange County), Vicki Gunvalson (The Real Housewives of Orange County), “GG” (Shah’s of Sunset), Jason Davis (Celebrity Rehab), Sean Stewart (Celebrity Rehab),  Shadoe Stevens, and Wink Martindale.
