Estate Preservation is Focus of Upcoming Workshop

LANSING, Ill. - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is hosting a free educational workshop on estate preservation. Called “Estate Strategy Essentials,” the 45-minute workshop will be held at either 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on September 17, 2013 and 1:30 p.m. on September 19, 2013 at Lan-Oak Park District, Room 103, 17551 Chicago Ave, Lansing, Ill. 60438. The workshop is presented by Eric Himmel, financial representative with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans in Lansing with special guest presenter James H. Himmel, estate attorney in Palos Heights.

The “Estate Strategy Essentials” workshop helps participants understand the three essential elements of any good estate strategy: wills, durable/financial powers of attorney, living wills/medical powers of attorney. As a result of attending the workshop, attendees will be better prepared to take action to protect their estates and pass them on according to their wishes.

“Having proper estate planning documents in place such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney can save families a great deal of financial and emotional stress,” says Himmel. “This workshop offers tools to help people make smart, informed decisions about protecting their estates according to their wishes.”
