EVERETT, Wash. - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- Everett, WA – Everett-based multi-media artist, Kristol Jones, has created and published her first book for children.  Mitty and His Sister is now available on in print and downloadable for Kindel (ISBN 978-1491052815).  Mrs. Jones created the images and story from experiences raising fraternal twins in Western Washington.    The story is geared towards children ages six and up. With her fine art, Mrs. Jones has participated in numerous art walks in Edmonds, Everett and Seattle since 2010.  Mitty and His Sister is her first publication.

“Mitty and His Sister is a fun illustration of how different two kids (or kittens in this case) can be.  The story features our children’s’ favorite stuffed animals with photos of them doing things that stuffed animals can only really DO in the imagination of a child. Although the story features a set of fraternal twins, anyone who has a sibling or even a close friend will find the characters relatable”  As one of the founding members of Snohomish County Mothers of Multiples (SNOMOMS) and a multi-year member of the preschool board at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Preschool in Everett, Mrs. Jones has had extensive exposure to the imaginations of children.

The story follows Mitty through hikes, crab fishing, camping and other adventures contrasted with the low-key ‘adventures’ of his more timid sister.  Mitty and His Sister have their own Facebook fan page .  Fans can post ideas for future adventures and leave comments.  Mrs. Jones also has a fan page at where fans can check in on recent works by the artist.  Additional information can be found on her website
