Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Lowery's 92nd Birthday Celebration October 6 In Atlanta

ATLANTA - Sept. 9, 2013 - PRLog -- "I've Known Rivers" A Theatrical and Musical Production for the 92nd Birthday Celebration of Reverend Dr. Joseph E. Lowery is Sunday, October 6, 6 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, 830 Westview Drive, SW, Atlanta GA 30314.

Honorary Chairmen are Mr. Richard Anderson, Delta Air Lines President and CEO and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed. The Honorable Shirley Franklin is Chair.

Steve Harvey will host the evening and confirmed guests to date include actress Cassi Davis, saxophonist Tia Fuller, actress/producer Rolanda Watts, actor/directorr iMalcolm Jamal Warner, minister Wintley Phipps and director Kenny Leon. Additional guests will be announced at a later date.

The star-studded, multi-generational event is a fundraiser supporting The Joseph E. Lowery Institute for Justice & Human Rights at Clark Atlanta University.

In 2009 President Barack Obama presented Civil Rights Icon Dr.Joseph  Lowery, who worked alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor .
