Upland Avenue Productions (http://www.uplandavenueproductions.com) announced today that renowned literary publisher April Sheris will serve as the first Creative Director for the Young Girls Write Too program. April Sheris will help build awareness and philanthropic support for YGWT arts and internships initiatives that help deepen the relationship with participants and strategic community education projects. First order of business for the new Creative Director will be the “My Pursuit Defines Me” campaign. This campaign has three main focuses: to build community and social responsibility to support young girls’ pursuits, invite girls everywhere to define their “Pursuits to Run the World”, and ensure they make responsible and socially aware choices.  “Ms. Sheris is committed to using her  creativity, her  innovation, and her  stature to help spread the YGWT message on a National scale to promote better literary support in our city and our world,” said Diamond Ryan, Regional Director of YGWT.

“As an Author and CEO, I understand the important role that advanced knowledge for your skillset and on the job training can play as part of the learning process,” said April Sheris. “In life, it’s important to give back, so I am honored to spread awareness of the Young Girls Write Too mission to empower and educate young girls in making better career choices.”
