·      The best way to get out stains from wine, berries, soda, mud, and washable ink is to simply mix water with ¼ teaspoon of detergent that does not contain bleach and rub it on the stain.

·      For fat, oils, or wax it is best to get an iron on warm setting, place a towel over the stains, and place the iron over the towel. This should get the stain off of the carpet and have the stain stick to the towel.

·      Getting gum out of carpet can seem tough, but it just needs to be frozen off. Take ice and freeze the gum, and then shatter it with a blunt object.
