PRLog -- Hamilton Ontario - based Progressive Metal Masters, VARGA, who reunited in 2011, have been hard at work in the studio with long time friend and Producer/ Engineer: Julius “Juice” Butty (Alexisonfire, Protest the Hero) completing their long awaited Enter the Metal & Return of the Metal CD’s. “In both collections of music, you’ll hear a return to our metal and progressive roots with songs laden with heavy licks, crazy time changes and insane vocals” says Joe Varga. Enter The Metal is slated for release October 30
th 2013 and will be available on the bands web site as well as through Amazon.com and iTunes.
The band has also recently launched a new official website at: vargahq.com (http://www.vargahq.com/)
where the free download can be found.
Signing with BMG in the 90's and becoming regulars on MuchMusic and MTV – including a thumbs up feature from the Mike Judge animated icons “Beavis and Butthead” – seemed to secure the band’s place in the Canadian hard rock music scene, but after their 1993 Prototype (

https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/oxygen/id643031843?uo=4...) CDs, the band simply faded out of the spotlight.
The band never officially broke up, but chose to focus on different projects and continued to remain good friends over the years. Fila and Williamson would help form Hypodust (

The members of Varga even maintained their collective talents, offering awe–inspiring album recreations (with Julius Butty on vocals) from Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. "When I witnessed their version of Maiden, the question only was, with this kind of talent, why hadn’t Varga continued making music?" says Butty.
“We just parted ways for a while and that while turned into 13 years. It’s always been on my mind to get the guys back together and go back to square one and almost re–record some of our earlier stuff – the more technical, thrashy, progressive metal. That’s where we’re at right now" says Varga..
Recorded at both Six Nations’ Jukasa Studio (http://www.jukasamediagroup.com/)
, and Silo Studios with Julius Butty producing, Two new CD's, titled Enter The Metal and Return of the Metal, are slated for release from the band in October 2013 and April 2014 with Gamera being the lead off track from the Enter The Metal CD that the band has made available as a free download from their web site.
